Four Young People Confirmed on Reformation Sunday
· Pastor Ted Carnahan
On Sunday, October 25, four young people stood at the altar rail here and made public profession of the faith into which they were baptized. Noah Adams, Jaya Kaderabek, Jena Kaderabek, and Adeline Wierson were confirmed on Reformation Sunday, and this congregation promised to support them and pray for them in their life in Christ.

They’ve been in confirmation class with me for three years. We worked through the Small Catechism, the Lord’s Prayer, the Creed, and the Ten Commandments, and memorized a good deal of it. Each of them wrote a faith statement in their own words and read it aloud at the microphone. Then their families came forward to the altar rail with them for the laying on of hands.
Here’s who they are.
Noah Louis Timothy Adams
Son of Terry and Jessica Adams. Baptized here on May 26, 2012.
His confirmation verse is 1 Corinthians 16:14: “Let all that you do be done in love.”
Jaya Adel Kaderabek
Daughter of Brady Kaderabek and Brittany Olson. Baptized here on January 17, 2015.
Her confirmation verse is Matthew 6:34: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”
Jena Louise Kaderabek
Daughter of Brady Kaderabek and Brittany Olson, and Jaya’s sister. Baptized here on January 17, 2015.
Her confirmation verse is Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.”
Adeline Ann Wierson
Daughter of Mike and Deidre Wierson. Baptized here on June 25, 2011.
Her confirmation verse is Deuteronomy 31:8: “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
I’m grateful to their parents, who brought them to the font and kept bringing them back, and to everybody in this congregation who taught them, sat with them, and prayed for them along the way.
