Faith Advice for Graduating Seniors

On May 17, I asked the congregation to write advice and encouragement for our graduating high school seniors on their response cards. Here’s the complete list of responses:

  • Let Go. Let God

  • Life will not always be easy, Look to God for guidance

  • Follow God at all times

  • Remember your roots in the church and know that you are loved

  • When something challenging occurs - pray, tell God, ask for wisdom, strength, & courage. Then to forward the way he wants you to - follow him.

  • Jesus will never let you down. Turn to Him and trust him always.  Surround yourself and worship with believers. Pray. Be Kind.

  • God always has a plan for you - you just may not understand why right away but trust in the Lord.

  • Remember that Jesus is your friend and mine.

  • You don’t have to be perfect. God Loves you.

  • Join a faith group in college. Don’t hide your faith to fit in. This is the time you need God the most! Lean on him.

  • God has given you everything you need to be great.  Have faith in him and in turn yourself.

  • Remain faithful in your walk with Jesus.

  • Have faith and trust God’s plans

  • Remember that wherever you go & whatever you do, Jesus sees it all.  He celebrates your joys & shares your worries & is always ready to forgive, encourage & celebrate you.

  • Use His power through His Spirit to do His work for you.

  • Remember your faith in Jesus. You are going to encounter a lot of different people with different ideas.

  • Remember Christ is with you in all things you consider & try.

  • You may feel alone at times, but you are never alone. Talk and listen to God. Recite the 23rd Psalm for comfort and strength.

  • Live your life to the fullest

  • Congrats!
