Rally Day: Blessing a New Year of Faith

Rally Day is coming to Our Savior's, and the most important part happens before the games even start.

We'll begin with worship: As kids, teachers, school staff, and families get ready for a new school year, we'll bless their backpacks—and the people who carry them. All students are invited to bring their backpacks to church. Teachers, school employees, and anyone else who carries a bag into their workday can bring theirs too. We'll pray for God to protect, encourage, and guide our students and educators through the year ahead.

We'll also hand out Bibles to our three-year-olds and third graders. This is our congregation saying we're in this with you, helping kids know God's Word and grow in their relationship with Jesus. We hope these Bibles get opened often, read together at home, carried to church, filled with questions, and loved.

After worship, the celebration keeps going with a morning of faith, fellowship, and fun for all ages. Hands-on Bible adventures, creative activities, challenges, a scavenger hunt, photo opportunities, and a few surprises we're not revealing yet!

Some activities test your aim, balance, creativity, Bible knowledge, or teamwork. Others are quieter—space to create, pray, and reflect. Everyone goes at their own pace and picks what interests them.

Rally Day is more than the start of another year of Sunday school and youth ministry. It's the whole church family coming together to worship, encourage our kids, welcome our neighbors, and begin a new year centered on Christ.

Join us September 13th at Our Savior's for worship at 9:00am. Bring your backpack, bring your family, and invite a friend. The Rally Sunday Festival follows right after the service!
